Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

Kyle Clark, Licensed Acupuncturist, performs acupuncture on a patient.

Acupuncture is a practice in which your Licensed Acupuncturist uses sterile, single-use, disposable needles which are inserted into the body at specific points based on what your body reflects about your health on the day of treatment. It's a very holistic process, meaning that it looks at symptoms that you're experiencing and relates them to what else may be happening throughout the whole body. This includes the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of your health. Since it takes the whole picture into consideration it is an excellent therapy to use to meet our goals of bringing your body back into a state of balance and wellness.

Wellness, from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a state of perfect balance. This is why the symbol of the yin-yang is so heavily associated with acupuncture. As we move through our lives everyday, our bodies tend to get pulled out of balance due to stress. This stress can be from things like our jobs and bills, or it can also come from things we don't often consider like posture, movement patterns, diet, habits, and vices. As an acupuncturist, my goal is to help you by working with you to bring your body back into balance, and further into a healthier and more vibrant state of wellness.

Acupuncture is an excellent tool to help you manage pain, improve digestion, refresh your skin and complexion, lower your stress levels, and  help with anxiety and depression.

Micro-Needling and Cosmetic Acupuncture

Acupuncture is also a great tool to add to your skincare regimen!

Using specific techniques, Cosmetic Acupuncture creates micro-traumas in your skin's dermis. This stimulates your skin's production of elastin and collagen to address in fine lines and wrinkles and increase circulation to give you a brighter, more vibrant complexion. This practice can be performed on the face, neck, and abdomen with the goals of firming up your skin, filling in fine lines and wrinkles, providing a lift to problem areas, and even returning a vibrant feeling to your skin.

Micro-Needling is a process in which your acupuncturist will insert short, fine needles into your skin with the goals of creating micro-traumas which stimulate collagen and elastin production to address fine lines and wrinkles, increase circulation to give you a brighter and more vibrant complexion, and "resurface" your skin to improve your skin texture, minimize the appearance of pores, and increase your skin's ability to absorb the products that you're using for your anti-aging and beauty regimen!

At each cosmetic acupuncture or micro needling session, you will also receive a balancing acupuncture treatment focusing on your whole body's health. In Chinese Medicine, we believe that what's happening on the inside is reflected on the outside, and can be seen in your face and complexion. If you want to look your best, you must also work on feeling your best.

We use natural and organic products that contain the healing power of Chinese herbs to support your skincare journey with us. We are currently using MyZen products with our cosmetic acupuncture sessions, as well as custom serums for our micro needling treatments which reflect your specific skincare needs, the most popular of which is an Apple Stem-Cell serum.

Many people choose to use both Microneedling and Cosmetic Acupuncture together to achieve the best results possible. It is also important to recognize that there are limitations to what microneeding and cosmetic acupuncture can do for you. They are not plastic-surgery modalities

Call today for a consultation to see if this is a good treatment option for you.
