Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

Wellness, from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a state of perfect balance. This is why the symbol of the yin-yang is so heavily associated with acupuncture. As we move through our lives everyday, our bodies tend to get pulled out of balance due to stress. This stress can be from things like our jobs and bills, or it can also come from things we don't often consider like posture, movement patterns, diet, habits, and vices. As an acupuncturist, my goal is to help you by working with you to bring your body back into balance, and further into a healthier and more vibrant state of wellness.

Acupuncture is a practice in which the practitioner uses sterile, single-use needles which are inserted into the body at specific points based on what your body reflects about your health on the day of treatment. It's a very holistic philosophy, meaning that it looks at symptoms that you're experiencing and relates them to the whole body. This includes the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of your health. Since it takes the whole picture into consideration it is an excellent therapy to use to meet our goals of bringing your body back into a state of balance and wellness.

Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture

Another service that I provide is cosmetic acupuncture. Using the Mei Zen Cosmetic acupuncture protocols, I use needles in the face, neck, or abdomen to stimulate collagen and elastin formation. These needles create microtraumas in the dermis which stimulate the production of elastin and collagen to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and provide a bit of a lift to problem areas. Mei Zen is unique in that it also heavily considers the principles of traditional chinese medicine to deliver these results. Your Mei Zen treatment course will not only treat your desired focus area, but will also have an emphasis on bringing your body into balance and further wellness simultaneously.

Call today for a consultation to see if this is a good treatment option for you.
